The Atlas is a key input for the future of the country that allows identifying the central challenges of the municipalities of the 9 departments, becoming a useful tool to guide future public policies and public and private action. It is a source of information with valuable data for researchers, journalists, businessmen and other actors of the civil society, contributing to fill the lack of information at the municipal level. The main topics addressed by the publication include poverty, health, education, gender equality, access to services, productive infrastructure, environmental impacts and many more, which will help identify weaknesses and strengths, and establish appropriate priorities so that each municipality can move towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, within the framework of the Municipal Development Plans.
